I know DamageX and I gave an opinion. It takes patience to get up there in a SE and no one stays up there anyhow. So why pay for it?

It does seem to help the standings when you climb thru the ranks of the SEs. But with so much competition its going to be hard to keep a site in the top 10 constantly if you have more than one, are working alone and trying to update sites as well. Paying gets you a burst of hits MAYBE. But not always. It pays to interconnect your own sites with small link lists. That helps each site gain more standing in the different engines.

But one downside to paid submissions. You have to then deal with a human looking at your site, which in most cases they have their own sites. So if they think your site sux, you get a low shot if at all. How many people actually can say (and follow thru) that they don't let their mood and emotions to play in that? They want *theirs* at the top... or they are paid employees that could care less about us, the builders, when they review 100-1000 sites a day.

Work with the spiders-bots where the human side is not going to influence anything.
