About 4 years ago my college roommate and I moved from a quiet Lake Hughes house closer to school and our place got burglarized the first day we went to class. Since we hadn't unpacked everything we don't know exactly what they got but we do know the rats stole our food (totally cleaned out the fridge) and got my roommate's .38. The police cared once they were informed that a handgun was stolen.
