I really liked APES, but I'm a huge sci-fi fan so I'm biased (also I was a huge fan when I was a kid).
Anytime they turn on the hype-machine on a movie it ruins it a little - no movie is as good as they try to make it look when they're doing that.
Also, although I liked the ending to the new one ok, very few movies can compete with the original POTA - that was a fucking ending.
Thade did kick ass though!
