Firstname uses = weird
I registered bartmail.com last year with NameZero. Little did I realise that I'd get mail intended for bartSmail.com, which turns out to be a Firstname domain. I got this today, which is especially strange... the latest installment.
"Dear Gopalan, Greetings dps. How are you and your wife? Here all of us are fine. I have not received any software from you after the chinna papa. you may send the tamil sofrware also. By the way I contacted
one Dr.Rajagopalan at Nagarjuna Fertilisors when I came to Hyd'bad. He said he would help my son. I was try to contact him through his email. But the message
did not reach him. So can you contact him over phone (removed) at his residence and remind him him on my behalf and also try to send his correct email to me. Did you contact your son at b'lore. What does he say? Here I am busy with the conduct of 'Rigveda Ganaparayanam' in connection ;with the vinayaka chathurthi celebration. You may also send some contribution to "Sri Ishta Siddhi Vinayakar Vedapararayan Trust" c/o dps. here all of us are ok.
dps......"
Heh... I'm also getting quite a bit of spam too from people that put their name on email lists, but mis-spell the domain.
Funnest thing is, I also own a UK varient (.co.uk) of a .com domain owned by a company selling computer parts, and I'm FOREVER getting emails with credit card numbers, pdf files, bulk hardware orders - - allsorts.
Good thing I'm a nice guy and have the decency to mail people back... I can't believe that people fly around their credit card details and stuff up an email address so frequently - wouldn't like to see something like this fall into the wrong hands!
