Anything can be binded by typing preferences in your console. Piston binding is not cheating according to the leagues, however everything else is.
And yes the netspeed is just a way of making you lag, i think it lets the packets in at a slower rate, causing you to just slide across the map. Next time your online pull down the console and type "netspeed 500" then enter. go back and try to play the game...hehe. to change it back put it back on "netspeed 10000" and hit enter.
