Nice.

I would love to move there as well. (but until I can do this full time... I'm stuck in "Hell-A") Everytime I mention it, my wife brings up what is known as Island fever. She said that the mainlanders move there, and a few years into it, they hate it. She said they get bored out of their minds. They feel like their in prison. They can't go anywhere, because they've been everywhere.
Personally, I'm an anti-social anyways, so I woudln't mind just going to the beach everyonce in a while. I don't have to go everyday.
I forget the name of the area, think of the head of Maui (the west maui mountains) up near what would be the back of his head, you can sill see the crater, so it's not to far up around the top of his head, but it's not right on the back of his neck either.
You can get to it if you drive up past Lahina, just keep going, you will eventually, pass up around the top of his head, and as you can see more of the crater there was an area up there being developed into modern homes. It looked really nice. And the plots of land weren't that expensive. You're a few hundred feet above sea level there, so your view, would be a long meadow, (open area) that would slope down, and eventually drop off to the ocean. Because you're higher you can see more ocean. A short drive would have you in Downtown, and just a little further, would have you in Kaahumana shopping center.
She was born and raised there, and mark my words, WE WILL LIVE THERE.
I'm jealous of your move.

Congrats!
