LOL...I've been waiting for you. I guess you need for me to break it down chronologically for you, my God I didn't know I would have to elaborate on such a simple post to the point that I would have to explain my entire work history to you...lol.
Here is one definition of a disloacted worker:
The term "dislocated worker" means an individual who:
1. has been terminated or laid off, or who has received a notice of termination or layoff, from employment,
3. is unlikely to return to a previous industry or occupation;
"Dislocated worker." The term dislocated worker is what was given to me by the US government due to the fact that both #1 and #3 applied.
#1 because of the recession I was laid off from my job in Los Angeles in the film industry.
#3 because I worked in the film industry and moved to Colorado I would more than likely not be returning to my "previous industry or occupation." I became a resteraunt manager.
My use of the term was being facetious, I love it when people give you titles to make things sound better than they are...like custodial engineer=custodian.
Anyway I moved to Colorado because of the low cost of living and a job opportunity.
Now that I've given you some of my employment history let's move on and talk about the handouts that the Bush's don't give.
You honestly don't know shit about this country you think I'm an embarassment to.
When I became this "dislocated worker," I was offered 6 months of unemployment insurance to help during the time that I wasn't working. But I didn't need that. I moved to Colorado Springs for gainful employement where I stated I donated plasma for "extra cash," a phrase you can't seem to understand. If I were unemployed and not making much money...it wouldn't be "extra cash" now would it...it would just be cash.
The reason it was "extra cash" (there's that tricky phrase again) is because I wasn't making as much money as when I was living in LA. That extra $40-$50 a week wasn't making or breaking me...it was "EXTRA CASH."
Anyway, the Bush that doesn't give handouts ended up extending those benefits to a year due to the recession...and as his favor rating dropped and the recession continued he extended it for another 6 months. But I guess since you didn't follow the news on t.v. or read the paper you didn't know anything about this.
That handout allowed people to live off of unemployement for a total of 1 1/2 years...pretty big hand out to me...or was that a buy out for the presidencey which of course failed. Because those of us who actually know our history know Clinton was elected. And if it makes you feel any better, I didn't vote for Clinton.
Now let's get onto other things.
I don't like assholes who at a time of national crisis picks this moment to make negative comments about our leadership.
you're an embarrassment to your fellow Americans.
First of all in my first post I didn't make any real "negative comments" about our leadership. I stated that I hoped he would show us more of what I saw earlier in the day.
But what I can't believe the most...me this embarassment to my fellow americans is that you an adult webmaster who's business is built on the foundations of the first amendment don't want me making my "negative comments" about our leadership.
What a fucking hypocrite you are. Freedom of speech is not limited to whenever you or anyone else feel it is appropriate. If it was then this business would not exist because there's a lot of people who would never find this appropriate.
My initial post was not an attack on Bush and/or any other leadership...it was a simple rambling I wrote early this morning after spending the entire day like everyone else glued to their t.v.s in shock over what happened.
Now my response where I brought up "extra cash" was a different matter. I made the comments because I am not like some who follow their leaders blindly (not meant to imply that drumcicle does) democrat or republican...and I don't like blanket statements being made either way. I vote my conscience...and am truly bipartisan let me break that down for you. My voting record was Reagan-Reagan-Bush-Perot-Clinton-Gore.
However I would have voted McCain if I were given the chance.
And now my responses to you are based on the fact that you gave a typical response where it didn't apply. "I guess getting a job was not an option?"
Such a typical response that usually comes from those who think they have it all and can't lose it.
But don't come here and attack me and tell me I'm an embarrasment to my country because I express my anger that people who put their lives on the line for this country as a duty and a job have to do things like donate plasma, and accept welfare just to keep food on their tables or Christmas gifts from Santa under the tree for their kids and spout off unoriginal shit like "I guess getting a job was not an option?"
Because they have a job more important than putting fuck pix up on the web like us.
