Plus the military personnel I was discussing that were receiving food stamps and other government aid were still active duty and this was in the 90's.
If you think they don't exist now or didn't exist then your patriotism is blinding your sight.
You also might want to reread everything I have written here nowhere did I state that I do not support our leaders, then or now...this all began with me wanting to see our president show me more of what I saw during that first speech in front of the school children before he left for Louisiana.
Instead that first night he practiced and rehearsed a speech written in my opinion by shitty speech writers...now over the past couple of days he once again has spoken HIS mind in HIS words and this is what we need.
We do not need statements written for posterity and history books, but statements that will inspire, motivate, comfort, and rally our people...and now this is what he is beginning to do.
And I will say this once again...we live in a country and work in a business that is based and built upon our first amendment...and no crisis...especially one that has already crippled this nation and it's way of life will dictate mine.

Have you ever watched the movied "The Seige."
The entire point of the movie was not that hostages were creating havoc in New York...but it was how we allowed an atmosphere of anger, mistrust, etc. to put us under "seige." And by that, martial law was declared...constitutional rights were violated...certain freedoms were suspended.
So tell me I have no right to speak my mind...especially during this time and in my opinion that is more damaging, and more telling than me saying I want to see some real emotion from our president.
