Sometimes a society has to give up a few freedoms in order to preserve all freedoms. I'll gladly wait an extra while at the border if it means that maybe one day they catch some would-be assassin trying to cross. I'll gladly give up an extra hour or two of my life if it means that my plane actually reaches it's destination. And I certainly won't gripe when my bags are searched from now on, because I know it's not me they're looking for, it's these asshole terrorists.
If my being inconvenienced for a few years means that someone's child get's to live, I have no problem with it. What if they were to relax security just because I'm not happy about the extra 2 or 3 hours I had to wait, and some terrorist asshole makes it through again and kills a pile of our people. Am I going to feel good about my lousy 3 hours? no, not hardly.
Tighten it up as much as it needs to be tightened, it's called "doing our part" and we all must play a part in this for the greater plan to work effectively.
Having said all that, babagirls is free to come back and give me one of her famous "grrrrr's"
CD.
