Well, it's real easy to sit on the sideline after the fact and say what you would or wouldn't do. The fact is, none of us were on any of those flights (thank God), so trying to second-guess those passengers is pretty irrelevant.
Maybe those terrorists told the people that they were going to have the planes simply turn around and land back at the airport of origin, and that if no one did anything all would be fine. As in, maybe they LIED to the passengers, and so maybe on most of those flights the passengers had no idea what was happening.
You are assuming a lot, and saying what you would have done and so forth, but since it is not known what exactly went on, what's the point? It's nice to say what you'd do, but I would never presume to cast any shadow of doubt on the actions or inaction of those passengers. all of whom were literally evaporated by the heat of the explosions. Their bodies will never be recovered because they simply don't exist any more.
I'd like to think that I would wring the fucking chicken-neck of one or two of the cowardly hijackers myself, but you just don't know the circumstances.
