Everywhere you look, companies are pulling in their horns, cancelling purchases, laying off employees (e.g., Continental Airlines). What they are saying in the financial boards is this: "If you don't want a recession, go out today and buy something. Tell all your friends to buy something today, too."
Buy that microwave oven. Buy that TV. Buy that car. Book a room for the weekend in a local hotel for a mini-vacation.
By showing confidence in the economy, we will all benefit.
BTW, it's sad, but we will benefit from this crisis. My sign-ups for my membership site are running about double normal. I assume it's from guys who are staying home. Even so, I hate to get the added business this way.
