Hypo, you can make a gallery like that in Fireworks or Photoshop in no time... but why? There's alot more overhead with one of those than with a regular ol' gallery, which can be made even faster.
IMHO, unless you're makin' a site interface, don't waste time gettin' overly fancy with stuff like that... gallery's just don't need it. But that's just my take on things.
