White dudes are exotic over there.
I spent one night there coming back from Thailand and had a whole bar full of locals trying to talk to me through the 1 dude who spoke both English/Japanese (an English teacher).
Presuming you aren't a total dog you should do fine! (exotic is nice, but ugly is ugly!)
