Planning om getting my own box ... now i have to fill in a hostname ...

Here comes my question i assume that i have to point my registerd domain name .. that i'm going to use as host name .. to a ip # then.

But it's registerd at namecheap .. and if you want to change the dns .. they say only to use name servers .. (no ip's)

How am i going to do this ?
