No. It's conservatives who turned mentally ill people out of the institutions and onto the streets. It's conservatives who worship Rush Limbaugh, who makes fun of 13 year old girls' looks. It's conservatives who want to simple-mindedly end welfare and hate 'socialized medicine'. It's conservatives who want to ban books from the classroom and teach creationism. It's conservatives who want to put people in prison for life for petty crimes. It's conservatives who want to label anyone who cares about animal or for that matter human welfare as a loony.
I could go on and on but I think you get the point. If you're ashamed of being a conservative, stop being one.
