I installed Suse linux on a microsoft xp machine and i am having trouble setting the host name and domain name. I have tried linux, localhost and all sorts of crap with no luck.
when I go to the browser and ask for a well known site like google all i get is "unknown host".
I set this up on a win 98 machine no problem but I don't remember what I done. setup the xp machine same as the 98 machine but no good. these two machines go thru a netgear router to a cable modem (comcast)

anybody got any ideas??????????
