Picture this:
You're playing in a local hockey league or an industrial league or whatever, your team has ice time tonight. You go to the arena, put on all your equipment, go out there and sweat your ballsack off for 60 minutes, maybe even score a few points.
What's the first thing you want when you hit the dressingroom after? You're taking off your stinky sweat-soaked equipment, laughing with the guys about the events of the game, and yep, you guessed it... you wanna reach into that huge cooler in the center of the room for an ice cold beerski. No question about it.
Not in Penticton B.C., not anymore you don't. They've passed a weak-ass pathetic law in Penticton that says "NO alcoholic beverages in arena dressing rooms". According to one local DJ here in Winnipeg, there are people here that are intending to fundraise so that law can be fought and revoked, yes we Canadians feel THAT strongly about this.
There are 2 God-given rights Canadians have held precious in winter...
1) The right to play road-hockey (this case was fought and won some years back in, yep you guessed it, B.C., Vancouver this time, where a group of kids were sued by their nieghbors for playing street-hockey)
And 2) The right to a cold one in the dressing room after a hard skate.
How can there be SO many assholes in the world?? How??
