Now we can assume they don't want us to know they exist, because if they did, they'd land at noon in Central Park and hold a press conference.
We can also assume they are incompetent, because they CAN'T avoid our radar, even though we have the means to avoid radar. Also, they crash a lot. Furthermore, we have captured some of them and even killed one.
Now I submit that all of these conditions end up being mutually exclusive. If they have the technology to fly faster than light speed and cross hundreds of millions of miles of space and fly at 10s of 1000s of miles per hour in our atmosphere, then it stands to reason they can avoid crashing into our planet and they can avoid being detected.
But they have crashed and they have been detected.
Therefore, you're proposing a race of aliens with characteristics which are in opposition to each other.

yep, if aliens existed they'd have infinite capabilities and resources to do whatever the hell they want while they fly above other worlds trillions of miles away from there home planet, there equipment would work 100% 24/7 as expected in every conceivable enviroment known in the universe, and they'd never make any mistakes ever, even while navigating possible hostile territory... only humans would make these mistakes.
