If you wish to create movies for general sale and want to actually move product, you need a distributor. Depending on the niche, you can expect between $3 and $10 per tape.
You will want to get set up with an agency for talent unless you are going the find strippers route.
You may want to consider taking your movies (or some of them) and selling it as content to others.
When you do produce your own content, there is many options.
As far as more money, that depends on your connections. Since you are obviously just starting and don't know a lot with the video side of the industry, you may want to form a game plan that consists of multiple parts and expand or venture more into one area as you go.
Just for reference sake, I have been in the industry for almost 8 years and did lots of movies and shoots in CA. However, I stopped filming a couple years ago.
Also make sure you understand all the legalities involved with content production.
