If Rage means by "porn is dying" that:
1) you can no longer post 1 tgp gallery a day and expect to make a living solely on porn
2) you can no longer build and submit just 1 AVS site a day and make a living
3) you can no longer do all your tasks by hand with no automation and make a living
I would agree with him... times are getting tougher--create as many pages as you can every day, submit as many as you can from as many proxies or IPs you can rent/find/use, quality check your stuff, pump out the email tgp stuff, and generally work every angle...
this industry has evolved a lot in the 4 years I've been doing it.
Surfers expect free hardcore now, search engines are more sophisticated, TGP sites are giving away more and more content, etc.
Porn really is dying if you define porn as the easy cash machine that it was in '97 to '99. But just like anything else, survival of the fittest is the rule... here's patterns that I see in the Porn that will outlive this recession and porno glut
1) TGP sites that actually provide entertainment instead of just a depot for free hardcore
2) AVS sites that are superindexed --providing real content instead of bullshit crappy 1 or 2 page jobs
3) Webmasters that automate the fuck out of their operations and spend more time strategizing/networking/developing business or traffic deals than doing grunt work
Porn is not dead... it just sheds its skin and moves on...newer, better, stronger....just like a snake.
My 2 cents.
