And Amp, "no shop talk"... as if. I can't envision any webmaster gathering where there won't be some talk about sites and stuff. When a bunch of strangers get together they usually look for the common ground to dig up conversation, and this biz is some pretty huge ground. Now if you were to take the party on a boat, maybe a large one big enough for a dinner cruise, that might be distracting enough to keep the shop talk to a dull roar

I think that is a very valid point that u made - I was at a party with a heap of webmasters last night and everybody was hanging in little clusters - he only way ppl started to talk to each other was that 'common ground'
but yes I think that it should be kept to a minimum!!
