I list my own galleries once in a while on my tgp2 using freefasthost.com and I get pretty good sales...
I also know of a well known tgp that uses my freehost for their galleries (similar to what you're planning on doing) and it looks like he's making off them or I think he would've switched hosts by now.
But as you said before, if you don't think your galleries will convert using it, then don't.
