Christians believe that there are many references in the Old Testament to Christ. One such foreshadowing was the story of Abraham and Isaac. God told Abraham to slay Isaac, and he would have if God had told him not to at the last second. This is taken as a foreshadowing of Christ i.e., that the final sacrifice would come from thru the seed Abraham.

All very well and good. But how is circumcision any more "everlasting" than any other law stated in the Old Testament?
