A lot of paysites have dropped their prices from $40 back to $30.
In the long term this seems to be more profitable, because the members do stay longer with the lower price point.

I think with regular AVS recurring (as opposed to premium) it still hasn't been long enough to know if that model will work. As with all things only time will tell.
But kudos to anyone trying to make more $$ for themselves and their affiliates rather than just trying to maintain the status quo
