Do hyphenated keyword-rich domain names really make a difference ?
to a certain extent yes. Google sees the keywords as seperate if seperated by a hyphen as opposed to one big word. But, it depends on how you are getting links. If you are refspamming for example, keyword rich hyphenated URLS are good as the keywords you want link relevance for are in your URL. If you are doing link trades or generating links in other ways, then the ancor text is important, not the URL.
