Back in the old days of GFY (October 2001) I enjoyed reading the posts and having fun while learning about the biz. People often fucked with each other but it was all done in fun. Lately there have been a lot of different personalities showing up who have made this place less and less amusing each day. People are taking things way too seriously and the joking around has been replaced with aggressive and often very personal assaults. I find myself laughing once every couple of days instead of laughing several times each day. When I do read the posts, they usually piss me off. I am tired of seeing people get shit on when they ask for help and then shit on again they take the initiative to move forward anyway.

These boards were designed to allow people to communicate in order for us to help each other grow our businesses through the sharing of experiences and ideas. They became a great place to hang out and meet new friends. The people who are here are a very valuable resource no matter if they have been in the biz for six hours or six years. We can all learn from the old school webmasters and they in turn can learn from us newbies. If it was not for new blood and fresh ideas, this business would not have grown as fast as it has.

It is a sad day when I let a public forum like this influence my life in a negative way. Because this has happened, I have decided to step away from GFY and get my focus back on the things that matter, make me happy, and help me achieve my goals. Except to announce the winner of my current Caption Contest, this will be my last thread for awhile. I still want to meet everybody who is going to Vegas. Hopefully once Internext is over, things will be back on track here and the fun and helpful times will flow freely again. Assuming that this happens, I will return and continue to be a smart ass. If, in my many attempts at humor, I have offended anybody, I am truly sorry.
