good luck, they are amazing creatures, can even survive nuclear radiation. Where there is one there are many especially if that was an adult female. Hope it was a german roach and not american, the german ones are small and do not fly like the american ones. Even if you do not leave food out they eat anything including wood, glue, clothing fibres etc etc. Just spray with an insecticide along the base boards and door and window openings and you will see them a lot less.
