I wonder what people would be saying if the cops had let this guy through and he stepped on some downed powerlines and died.
Or if when others saw the police letting him through, they too decided to go home and salvage shit and all of a sudden there were 10 dead people.
Of course, everyone would be bitching about the police yet again.
