I thought the Peachtree was a pretty good hotel. The design was a little off - like having to walk a half mile or taking stairs or an escalator to get anywhere... But they built that thing many many years ago, whereas the Diplomat is only like 4 years old or something.
The management at the Diplomat REALLY sucked. The Peachtree was pretty good. And let me tell you, the food and the waitstaff at the Peachtree was VERY impressive. How long did it take you to get a cup of ketchup in Lauderdale?
I would not stay at the Diplomat on a random trip, but I would definately stay at the Peachtree on a random trip.
