Income made outside of the US - up to like 80K is exempt.
HOWEVER - AND THIS IS THE BIG HOWEVER;
You have to BE IN THAT COUNTRY for it to be exempt.

If it did - all the foreign sponsors would be getting much more business.
There are ways to reduce your tax burden. You may want to look into the book "Loopholes of the Rich", but most of it requires the use of a professional. You have to pay taxes one way or another - but you may be able to take advantage of certain perks if you have a corporation set up.
