Maybe...but i always though that Linux was for the elitist, not the main public or costumer. And to my beleif...it is still the case. I could be wrong on this one, it's been a long time since i tried it out.
The nice thing that software does, is that it doesn't target the virus or trajan, but the main areas in a system where they will attack. From the software list it protects and watch:
-batch and script files in the Windows directory and key directories below
- memory buffer overflow
-applet,dll,driver modification
- protection of Browser Helper Objects,settings,toolbars,searching
-registry run-key,shell command
-screen saver and finally some key files for windows like win.ini
I saw some slow down on the connection and browser operations in cunjunction with Kerio firewall, but it did not see it with zonealarm. So i have this software + zonealarm + Norton, and that combinason seems to work well.
