Help, I have a trojan horse and a BadTrans on my comp

The infected files are:

C:\WINNT\system32\kdll.dll (Trojan Horse)
C:\WINNT\system32\kernel32.exe (BadTrans)

I had just recently upgraded my comp to Win 2000 Pro, and did not install my Norton Antivirus until today.

I have tried to delete these two files and no go. But I am also concerned as to whether my comp will be screwed up if these files are deleted.

So how can I get rid of em, and is it safe to delete em (will Windows run without them)

Any help is appreciated...

thanks,
Bruce
