There simply won't be enough fish and animals left to eat at a certain breaking point. Not enough vegetation and fruit because there are only so many places that can produce good crops.

India is expected to be at 2 Billion by 2050. Their water tables are dropping 3 meters per year. Eventually you reach a point where there is not enough water for irrigation and drinking water.

And what about waste and trash disposal. Where's it all going?
if an ice age hits(either from a nuclear winter or some major volcanic eruptions) then food would be at a huge premium.
