You said it with a mouth full. The best advice is to never have your eggs in one basket . You can always leave your rebills where they are and move to a secondary processors for new sales. That is the best message you could send.

I dont think it will cause any site to dramaticaly loose sign ups or an inordinate amount of chargebacks, these chargebacks shouldnt go against a site owner.

You mentioned growth. You know very well that Visa/MC chargeback model does not allow for a slowdown or loss in business. You must continue to grow your transaction count or face stiff penalties. Although our companies are growing, Ibills may not be growing as quickly.

Thru this new inclusion of a donation box in small print, with a check in the box already, is a method to seriuosly increase transaction count quickly. Very few people will chargeback this one dollar donation to Webplgd so its a quick way to increase transaction count, without advertising or going after new sales.
