Good discussion and great points by you both. I also agree not to put it all in one basket. Diversification is key to longevity and success. Referring to the importation of data, we did it with many merchant when DMR, Web Cash, OBS, and Digiblaze went under. We stayed in compliance by receiving permission from the cardholders and notifying them of the descriptor name change as well. Granted, merchants are much better off leaving the rebillings where they are and starting fresh having the new processor do the new signups and rebilling. However, this is not always possible as it was not in the case listed above. I;m sure Ibill is not going anywhere so it should not be an issue but that is up to the discretion of the webmaster/merchant.
