First of all you assume that this rumor is even true...someone already posted an article in which the American women's hockey team has denied this rumor...so when you speak of ignorance and begin to point fingers...remember there's always ...oh fuck it your kind will never learn.

Well, first of all I was talking in general terms not specifics of this case. Secondly, I said *some* of my countrymen I did not say the country.
Thirdly, I do not talk nothing but trash about America. There are a lot of very good things about America but I will be dammed if I am just going to look at everything with rose coloured glasses.
When you live in a forgien country you are never more American. Every where you go you are introduced as 'my American friend' and so forth. You are so much more aware of your nationality than I would suggest most people walking the streets of Main Street USA. When the United States does something I think is good I will stand up for it against all criticism. However, when we act like idiots I will say that too.
Also, I will tell the British when they are being xenephobic, which they have tendency to be. I try to see things fairly and not with my red, white and blue contact lenses.
I love having an idea how the world works which is more than *most* Americans do. It isn't their fault but our country is very isolationist. Did you not learn that in 5th grade history? It hasn't ended. American's are isolationist and jingoistic and the British are xenephobic and have a hard time dealing with the death of their empire.
Both are great countries but both have their faults.
