Florida is Fixed - Again!!!

Personal experience:
My boyfriend and I stood for over 3 hours Sunday in line at the 7500 block of Collins Avenue to vote early at the public library. The poll workers became very agitated toward closing time. At about 4.45, a poll worker came out and began shouting at the people in line that we had to be standing single file (it was hot, we were tired and some of us were sitting on the dirty curbside). One elderly man - about mid-70s - was not standing exactly in line behind his wife and the poll worker stood and berated him over and over to comply. Mike - this guy was tired and wobbling from the heat but he quietly told the poll worker to leave him alone. "Do you WANT to vote?," the guy shouted. "Well you better show me your voter card RIGHT NOW!" Everyone was appalled - this was a paid state employee! It was like something from a Nazi movie except this was real life. Intimidation? YOU BET!

Today's Horror stories:
We are voting in Dade and Broward on the touch screens and people at work kept congregating all day to tell stories about completing the ballots and at the end of the process, when the screens allow you to review your electronic choices, Kerry votes had turned into Bush votes. There is a process by which you can "retouch" your choice to de-select it, and then "retouch" your choice to correct it. People said this took repeated retries to get the machines to take Bush away and accept a vote for Kerry. How convenient that Florida's electronic voting machines automatically default to our governor's brother!

Mike - Florida is fixxxxxxed. Again.

Send the cavalry. Send the lawyers. Wait - there is no paper trail in Florida. Send the TEQUILA.
