Alan Freed creating the term, Rock N Roll on a Cleveland radio station. Rock N Roll was born in Cleveland because it was coined there.
Memphis or Cleveland is a good argument. But I'm saying Rock N Roll's birth place is Cleveland. The "roots" of rock might originate in Memphis.
