Again re-read what I posted. You're blinded by your partiality to your biology studies. I already said that mutation and natural selection occur. We observe them in isolation all the time.

DNA does not "explain" how the variety of species on earth came to be. It merely shows us that there are differences. It's a marker that we can use to define the differences we observe.
