what kinda card do you have? i had this same prob, and all i could figure was i was using a cheap card. so i took my ass to the comp store and bought the most exspinsive card they had

now i can walk a block from my house (i tested this, were you aware youve got a about a blocks distance?) and still get perfect connection and havent been kicked off sinse
