It took a while to get used to all the animal and bug noises AND the lack of noises of cars, trains, planes etc. but after awhile, it's heaven.
Now when I go into the burbs it's like an assualt on my senses, lol!
I have an alarm but it went wacky on me when I was out of power for 40 hours during Ivan (I think I need a new battery) so it's disconnected but I never really used it anyway.
And I have two VERY capable watchdogs.
