I usually have the same content with/without
www. and do NOT redirect domain.com to
www.domain.com. meaning that if you type domain.com it'll stay like that in the browser bar and not change to
www.domain.com
I thought that was the proper way to do this.
But seems like Yahoo is now spidering my "domain.com" instead of "www.domain" although I have not linked "domain.com" from anywhere. Bascially this pathetic search engine is going like "we got links to
www.domain.com, now let's see what's under domain.com".
Which leaves me with lots of dupe content, many pages included that aren't linked (on domain.com), and the linked pages being removed (on
www.domain.com)
How do you handle with/without
www.? Redirect, ServerAlias setting in Apache, symlink, 404?
I use symlinks but my headers look o.k. so I blame it on Yahoo
