I have a lot of friends falling into that pattern way too quickly, and the bastards act all jealous because I make money and they criticize my way of life (simple, no debts, investing, same girlfriend but our carreers are important).

Fools they are.
Owning property AND having other investments (did I mention MTSX, GG and CRM yet?) is a smart combination.
