I know what you are saying and I suppose the answer is that distance is a powerful healer but in the scheme of things there has been very much distance between the acts of the nazis and now. Yeah, I know how that sounds but it is true. See, I guess what I don't get is intentionally doing things that you (general you) know will deeply hurt some people. What is the point? It is that lack of 'filter' that I question and especially from someone from a family where there is no excuse not to know history - it is his family history!
