As to the original question, Americans think they can police the rest of the world because they think they're better than everybody else, simple as that...typical ethnocentric attitiude. Not saying that ALL americans feel this way, but the people in charge at least do. Ask yourself this...if they thought they were inferior as a nation, why would they feel they have the power to police anybody else? Its just the exact opposite. Plus, too many Americans are just stupid. Sorry, but lots of you are, nothing against those of you who aren't. You RE-elected Bush, for fucks sake. Maybe not so much stupid, but ignorant. Ignorant of anything else that happens outside of the States. I don't know how many Americans i've met who think its always snowing in canada. Once, when trying to buy alcohol in the states, the checkout girl looked at my ID and had to get a manager cuz she didn't know where "Can-Ada" was...i mean for fucks sake.
