Last week when this thread popped up I was inspired . . . I have been hearing the blog buzz for some time and this gave me the kick in the ass that was needed. So I took one of my more brandable domains and installed wordpress and got the tweaking.
Mind you this domain was empty prior to my building with the exception of 2 submitted galleries . . . so traffic was nil.
The site went live on monday . . . today stats report a total of 20000+ page views and 9000 uniques. This is in one week folks. I did nothing special other than design a site that everyone would like and it seems the word of mouth on it has done the deed (with a mix of some seo flare).
Needless to say it has pulled 30 AFF sales . . . only totaled at 5 bucks or so . . . but I am using the revshare on that. 3 sales over at OC Cash, 2 sales over at coinscuties.com and 1 sales with dubcash.
With a little marketing wizardry these things can take off over night.
