This is off topic but it kinda shows what kinda attention financial institutions and the like are paying to the cvv2 numbers...
I only use one card for all online purchases so I can monitor it closely. I was trying to buy a server and I had to enter the CVV2 # but I couldn't read it since it was worn off. So I called the issuing bank (Citibank) the next day for a replacement card and for the cvv2 number in the meantime so I could make this purchase. Guess what they said, "What's A cvv2 number?"
I had to explain to 3 different levels of managers for 20 minutes what it is and what it is used for!
With this in mind, it leads me to believe that whatever is going to happen won't happen until those idiots in the Credit Services dept. at Citibank and the Idiots just like them at the other banks all across the world know what a cvv2 is.
