Hatred knows no color - look at the blacks in the Caribbean - people from Antiqua hate Jamaicans, Trinnidads hate almost everybody - the whites in Great Britain - the Catholics and the Protestants - hatred is probably the only true universal emotion, however with regards to the original question I believe that the intent is different (usually although not always) when someone says black power or proud to be black than when someone says white power or talks of being proud of his white race.
You can never know what its like to be walking down the street on a beautiful summers day with your kids by your side, checking out the cafes and the stores and then have your whole day ruined by somebody whispering out ****** - a hatred just because of your skin color which you just cant understand.
But hey life goes on - hope will always survive unfortunately so will ignorance and resentment.
