This kind of reminds me of those idiots at CSI who said they slept in cause they thought they could take the franchise down and demanded a bigger raise then they got...your fired was the response. Well if that Jackass didn't go on Leno and apologize after he realized that the show made him.
Steve you have three choices and since this is business you can either
1. try to talk to her which I am sure will only hurt you.
2. Ignore the email and continue on as business as usual and chalk it up to youth and stupidity(I am sure you have been there too) and will soon realize how dumb she actually is.
3. Fire Her.
Either way you have to live with the decision.
