In the "real" world, 1 month salary for every year worked is fairly common as a severance package. In this case, that would mean about 43k for her. Why not offer her something like that along with a 1 year non-compete type clause and see if she bites. Frankly I don't understand why this isn't already spelled out in the original contract. non-competes.. severance packages.. termination clauses.. come on guys... sheesh..
